Therapy Department Begins Fall Prevention Program

September 24, 2020
Huron, Ohio - As the season begins to change and we settle into the fall season, our therapy department is highlighting our Fall Prevention Program!
Our therapist focuses extensively to assist residents with recent falls or increased fear of falling, sitting or standing balance difficulties, the decline in the ability to walk, changes in gait pattern, need of an assistive device, transfers, bed mobility, and self-care tasks.

The physical and occupational therapists work diligently with each resident to help restore muscle tone and increase strength. Each therapist customizes a fall treatment plan to assess the resident's personal needs, which help reduce the risk of falling. Resident safety is our number one priority!
